Book Review : Duorb ~ Kavya Saroja and Shanmuga Boopathy

After years I have read a Sci-fi book and I must say, this is the best beginning of 2020 with this kind of book. The blurb of this book enticed me and coaxed me to read the entire book!

Before telling about the review I would like to throw light on what 'Duorb' really is. It means two worlds and DuOrbian would be a person who can travel between two worlds, more like a parallel universe while sleeping.This all is created and the thought behind is of Kate's father John who is major part of the book.

Talking about the blurb, the protagonist loves his job and lives life on his own terms. One day he finds himself in middle of nowhere. Not having a clue about his whereabouts, he is in constant fear of imminent death. Slowly he adapts to the environment and start enjoying it, meet new people and surprisingly find love. The major thing that happenes after this threatens his world and keeps his life at stake. Will he survive?

🌿🍃 Review -
The book takes up a slow start at first but it is normal for this book. Story needs some base to get on the right plot. The book has been authored in such a way it blends technology, romance and fiction beautifully. The way characters appear and the events occur in two parallel universe will surely ignites the curiosity in readers to know more about it. Honestly, it is really confusing in the starting, you will be clueless that what's happening but eventually it all sets in right place.

The writing style was okayish, as I told earlier a bit confusing. Few typos and some grammatical mistakes. At the end, the narration was alright.
Characters were good specially of John's. How he blames himself, the creation of duorb and the thought of reuniting with Amy, Kate's mother. So vivid imagination and good amount of research has happened here.

Overall it was a good read, would recommend to all sci fi lovers to read this book. 🍃🌿
